Microsoft's Global Partner Solutions (GPS) Finance team is adding a new role to focus on Global Channel Sales (GCS) within our broader Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Segment Finance team. Our team works with stakeholders across the company (GPS, Solution Areas, Marketing, Business Planning) to help scale our commercial products and capture total addressable market (TAM) in the Small, Medium, & Corporate (SMC) customer segment.
The Senior Finance Manager, Global Channel Sales will work closely with the Channel Sales business team, driving insights and analysis to influence strategic direction and business decision making to accelerate revenue growth across the MCAPS Priorities: Copilot, AI design wins, Security, M365 (Microsoft 365) core execution and migrations. Responsibilities
- Partner with the GPS Global Channel Sales (GCS) and Small, Medium, & Corporate (SMC) business teams to integrate the monthly Rythm of Business (ROB) and performance insights
- Evaluate the health of the Commercial businesses and provide deep insights from the partner lens to include, but not limited to: revenue and non-revenue Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), global target accountability, and partner-specific performance against targets
- Partner with the GPS Planning lead to scope new commercial metrics, assess evolution of existing scorecard metrics, understand data availability on the partner side, help prepare and land the targets across the areas, and work with partner segment leadership to model and land partner accountability targets/partner impact numbers (PINs)
- Core accountabilities for this role include:
- Partners with GCS leads to drive execution of the business, accurate reporting of the segment’s impact and contribution within GPS/commercial, and become a trusted advisor
- Drive the development of new analytics, including forward-looking business analytics on go-to-market strategies, partner program KPIs, and promote knowledge-sharing with other GPS/SMC finance leads
- Collaborate proactively across GPS and engage Field Controllers to evangelize trends and influence business decisions, and solicit feedback for greater alignment between MCAPS Core and field
- Ad hoc, project-based analytics to support various business initiatives

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience
- OR Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user familiar with advanced functions and charting capabilities
- Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Ability to partner, build trust, and communicate with and influence leaders and business partners
- Team player with an ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
