Our Early in Profession (EiP) Team scours the globe for talent that will define and lead Microsoft into the future. Enabling impact is at the very heart of our company and as a Technical Recruiter, Early in Profession, you play a key role in the development and execution of our recruiting strategies by attracting candidates for our critical roles. You will leverage your creativity in finding and engaging candidates for the various career opportunities available at Microsoft and help enable key business partners to execute their organizational strategies by delivering both university and early in profession talent to drive their specific business needs. You will work on a team that is responsible for hiring both technical talent across the Americas, closely partnering with our EiP Team as well as with various stakeholders from multiple Business Groups, Finance, and HR.
Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing, Assessment, & Experience:
- Uses an understanding of talent markets and complex candidate profiles, as well as relationships with talent pools and communities, to identify, secure, and/or develop candidates for immediate and near-future needs and pipelines.
- Develops a pipeline that generates strategic and differentiated candidates to meet the future talent needs of the business. Identifies unique and non-traditional talent sources.
- Elicits interest in active and potential candidates by crafting stories that represent Microsoft’s unique career possibilities, advantages, and rewards.
- Leverages tools and assessment frameworks from Operations Team and Centers of Excellence to assess candidates.
- Executes initial screening and assessment of candidates. Identifies and gathers information (e.g., ability to hire, relocation, immigration, compensation) to qualify talent pool.
- Focuses on candidate engagement at all phases of the relationship by leveraging motivators and incentives to prepare candidates for next phases of the hiring process. Identifies additional opportunities to enhance candidate experience throughout hiring process.
Stakeholder/Client Engagement
- Conducts requisition kick-off and strategy meeting, conceives, and executes hiring plan in partnership with Hiring Manager and multiple other stakeholders. Groups. Balances multiple priorities and expectations related to requisition volume, quality of experience recruiting experience, budget, and time to fill roles.
- Identifies differentiated and alternative types of talent (e.g., compete, diverse, non-traditional) that may not be typically considered, and provides hiring recommendations to specific Hiring Managers and Teams within aligned Business Groups.
Data Analysis, Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Conducts market research, leverages data, and consults with business to recommend/implement a hiring plan that addresses both hiring demand and talent availability. Reviews and analyzes data to improve recruiting performance and both candidate placement and experience.
- Understands the entire recruiting lifecycle to apply the appropriate internal and external policies, standards, and/or regulations to all stages of the recruiting process. Educates clients on the appropriate processes and policies to ensure that compliance requirements are followed.
- Maintains current documentation on candidates’ qualifications and status in the appropriate recruiting systems, adhering to compliance guidelines (e.g., Office of Federal Compliance Programs, General Data Protection Regulation). Captures relevant data in recruiting platform and leverages data to inform meaningful insights.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) talent acquisition experience (recruiting or sourcing) supporting technical or engineering roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
- OR Master's Degree AND 6+ years talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role
- OR equivalent experience.
- Spanish language fluency
Talent Acquisition IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.
