We are seeking a Site Designer in Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA office locations only. You will partner to support merchandisers in bringing customer journeys to life on the Chewy storefront site. The Site Designer will sit alongside a team of Product Designers, working with partner teams to create compelling visual designs and presentation materials to support the development of content strategy and campaigns in the e-commerce funnel.
What You’ll Do
- Transform site merchandising strategy into compelling visual designs.
- Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge with a bias for action and streamlined prioritization.
- Develop, implement assets and page layouts for a range of devices that can be delivered to market quickly.
- Lead your work from end to end defining the scope of work and creative approach, developing concepts, and production-ready designs.
- Collaborate with merchandisers, business partners, marketing and creative teams, and product designers.
- Participate in product design team critiques and team activities to grow your design skills and knowledge of Chewy customers.
- Champion adherence to the brand and creative consistency across the customer journey.
- Clearly present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to partners.
- Nurture Chewy’s culture and principles within your team and the design practice.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a user experience designer, associate art director, or similar role design role in which you delivered creative assets for digital use.
- A track record of delivering designs or campaigns for digital experiences that demonstrate the depth of skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies.
- Experience clearly communicating design decisions and their impact on the customer.
- Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent degree) in Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience within the design field.
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Suite
- Position may require travel and will require time in the local office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with using content management systems to publish content
- Ability to flex into other creative and design teams, including art direction, UX design, or content strategy
- Experience using tools and templates to streamline creative development with cross-functional partners
Hub Locations & Work Arrangement:
- Hub Locations: Bellevue, WA | Boston, MA
- Hybrid Model: 2+ days in hub location per week
- Remote: This role is NOT a remote role.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Site Designer position is $76,000.00 - $114,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant.
