Solution Engineering (Senior) Manager, EMEA Apps Presales Center of Excellence
An exciting, high-profile opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager within Oracle’s solution engineering organization in EMEA. Reporting directly to the EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services Leader based in Romania, you will play a pivotal role in growing and developing the solution engineering team based in Egypt and supporting the growth of the channel business in the designated ECEMEA territory and in driving the Presales Transformation within the EMEA Applications Presales CoE.
As a Solution Engineering Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, alongside an innovative leadership team eager to grow a strong, high performing presales organization. This role requires strong leadership, business and change management and openness to innovation.
You will build and lead a team of 6+ talented Solution Engineers with Oracle FUSE product expertise and knowledge across multiple industries, supporting the ECEMEA business and you will be part of the management team of the EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services piloting the support to deployment of the channel model across EMEA Apps. The EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services (formerly known as SE Interactive EMEA) is a customer-facing digital presales organization supporting sales opportunities in the assigned territory end2end. The scope of the team is two-fold:
- Solution Engineering support for Oracle EMEA Apps Sales in achieving sales targets & results. The team provides end2end opportunity support, as well as developing a portfolio of gold standard business practices & assets fit for our assigned accounts and territories. Oracle FUSE coverage (ERP, EPM, SCM, HCM). Manage assigned opportunities directly or in co-delivery model with target partners.
- Support partners across EMEA Apps to help scale Oracle application Cloud business. We act as a channel services team and work alongside target partners on deals to achieve results. Our focus is on co-delivery, acting as one extended team and sharing presales best-practices with target partners and help them transition towards direct delivery of Solution Engineering activities.
What You’ll Do
- People management: managing all aspects of the direct team supporting, including recruitment, onboarding, training, mentoring & coaching, rewards and recognition, performance management & improvement, talent retention.
- Business management, including:
- Acting as a true business partner to the supported sales teams by providing effective input on sales cycle progression of deals, direct customer engagement when necessary to make a difference, comprehensive understanding of the market and industrialized customer needs and sales plays.
- Understanding the business requirements of the assigned region; ensuring that the team delivers services mapped to local needs.
- Boost the channel approach on all delivery exemplifies by consistent / increasing co-delivery with target partners.
- Continuous qualification and prioritization: calibration of team effort based on qualification criteria and deal specificities; prioritization of requests across different regions and stakeholders based on EMEA Impact and business goals.
- Deal and engagement reviews: frequent engagement reviews to maximize win chances for deals; making sure that the team deliverables and services are at the best quality and responding to our customers’ needs (as opposed to requests).
- Build and maintain strong business partnerships with other Oracle teams (e.g. CSM, Oracle Consulting, Product Management, Business Operations)
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Ensure service excellence across the End2end delivery cycle of Solution Engineering activities on sales opportunities and engagements.
- Consistent monitoring of team KPs and improvement actions.
- “Innovation happens on deals”: driving innovation on deals supported by your team members; pilot new ideas on deals, in line with the overall presales vision and mission
- Support the broader management team:
- lead initiatives to grow the organization
- support other managers and act as one management team
- take initiative in driving change and positively influencing the entire presales eco-system
- as First Line Manager, you will be empowered to lead the business management of your team and find the best ways to align to the sales and presales strategy.

- Proven track record of business management, people development/management, management, stakeholder and prioritization, change management.
- Previous management & leadership experience is required.
- Previous experience in Sales/Presales/Business Operations/Consulting (expected)
- Exposure to Partner model / Channel (expected)
- Proficiency/knowledge of the Oracle SaaS Solutions (expected)
- Fluency in English (required)
- Excellent communication and presentation sills, conflict resolution, coaching and mentoring skills
- Positive, inspirational leadership, growth mindset
- Strong planning and organizing skills, decision making in ambiguous and challenging situations
- Strong business and work ethics
- Experience in working in multicultural environments and leading virtual teams across multiple geographies is a plus
