Position Summary: The Senior Account Executive will help to develop strategy, marketing, sales and servicing for group digital subscription programs to promote Higher Ground to organizations, associations, companies and publishers throughout the U.S. and globally. This position will sell and service advertising programs, opportunities and marketing solutions to advertisers who operate in multiple markets. Will sell into TWT.com, all digital offerings, e-mail offerings as well as some Daily ROP and National Weekly print sales and other media products as they are developed. Position will also incorporate advertising opportunities and marketing solutions to these companies and organizations as identified during the sales process.
Objectives are:
- Develop sales and marketing strategies including rate structure for group digital subscriptions related to promote Higher Ground
- Achieve stated volume and revenue objectives on a consistent basis
- Cultivate on-going new business while servicing sold accounts
Essential Responsibilities:
- Make sales calls and presentations in-person, by telephone, e-mail and all other digital manners
- Generate Revenue opportunities across TWT media vehicles: Acting as a marketing consultant, structure deals for top performing partners to ensure maximum revenue and increase client.
- Retention: Develop and implement a proactive strategy to build lasting relationships in order to retain and grow an existing client base
- Data Analysis: Analyze deal performance metrics to determine rerun potential and help manage and recommend programs
- Create/Manage TWT products, market and consumer profiles
- Maintain knowledge of the advertising industry and latest technologies
- Maintain knowledge of competition and monitor for new offerings and new advertisers
- Provide useful solutions to customers advertising and marketing goals
- Develop strong customer relationships
- Plan and organize each day to include interaction with current accounts, prospecting for new business and other sales related activities
- Assist customers in identifying market potential and target audience
- Develop and pursue new leads in order to produce new business
- Provide excellent customer service
- Attend company sales and staff meetings
- Attend relevant functions associated with advertisers and prospective accounts
- Carry a proportionate share of workload while maintaining a low rate of errors
- Complete and maintain a database of clients and prospects
- Complete and maintain a activity report for Advertising Director of Display & Special Sections on a daily basis
- Work harmoniously with other internal departments
- Accept job assignments as assigned by Advertising Director of Display & Special Sections and other Sales leadership team members.
- Represent The Washington Times in a professional manner
- Manage difficult situations and promote amicable solutions
- Continually evaluate processes and create areas of system improvement
- Travel (when needed) to other cities for sales presentations
- Working Condition: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require some national travel and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work. Opportunity to work from home will be considered after successful goal attainment Maintain a good business atmosphere in the office and keep area in an orderly fashion
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
Possesses a high degree of knowledge in Digital Advertising and Social Media fields
Previous experience with group subscription sales a plus
