You’ll run through our “Best internship in Retail” and learn on the job while supporting the team with following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Catalog Enrichment (Dataplex):
- Deep dive into our core datasets residing in BigQuery and enhance the data catalog by adding detailed column-level descriptions and business context within Dataplex.
- Become proficient in using Dataplex as a central data discovery and governance platform. This includes classifying data assets, establishing data lineage, and creating a comprehensive data dictionary.
- Curate and organize our existing dashboard inventory, defining a centralized repository within Dataplex to facilitate easy access and promote self-service analytics.
- Visualization Platform Migration (Tableau to Looker & SAP Analytics Cloud):
- Assist in the migration of dashboards from Tableau to Looker and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Critically evaluate existing Tableau dashboards and develop a clear cross-walking document that maps old dashboards to their new equivalents in Looker and SAC, ensuring business continuity and understanding during the transition.
- Gain hands-on experience with Looker and SAC, building your skills in developing interactive and insightful visualizations.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance.
- Experience or familiarity with SQL and cloud-based data platforms (ideally Google Cloud Platform).
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Dealing with English speaking staff and reporting in English

Eligibility:
For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2025. Please note that your application will only be considered if you are enrolled at a school or university for the full duration of the internship. - You are an EU citizen,
- You are on a Family/Partner visa, or
- You are a non-EU student studying in the Netherlands, AND the internship is a mandatory part of your curriculum.
