Job description

We are looking for a Director of Data, Analytics, and Machine Learning who will be responsible for guiding the strategic direction and execution of our data initiatives. You will lead a talented team of data engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts, overseeing the development of data-intensive applications, big data infrastructures, and advanced machine learning models.

It is a start up that combines the omnipresence of messaging with the strength of AI and the power of conversations to help businesses put the conversation back in commerce (locations in Sao Paulo, Cordoba/Argentina, CDMX y Guatemala)

Job Requirements

Experience:
Minimum of 12-15 years in data engineering, analytics, and machine learning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, Ph.D.) preferred.

Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka), data engineering practices, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP). Strong proficiency in machine learning frameworks and tools, including Python, TensorFlow, and MLOps platforms.

Others: Data Governance and Compliance, Innovation and Continuous Improvement and Project Management and Execution


Desirable requirements

- PhD in Computer Science or Machine Learning or related field

Hands-on and theoretical background in machine learning practices and techniques

(clustering, decision tree learning, NN, etc), and real-world advantages/drawbacks.

Experiences with distributed data processing tools like Hive, Spark, Airflow, Tensorflow,Pytorch.
