Title: Data Management Analyst
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Review and analyze financial data sets and evaluate modern technologies to meet the current and emerging procurement and data extraction needs. Ensure undisrupted business project completion for the production cycle and update quality check logic via statistical analyses and calculations. Lead team efforts to maintain performance data for vintage and new deal issuances for structured finance transactions including RMBS and ABS Auto Loans, Leases and Esoteric asset classes. Oversee tasks from initial data extraction from statistical and mathematical quality checks to dissemination of refined performance data pertaining to diverse asset classes. Address data related client concerns while detecting data anomalies through analytical methods. Improve client experience by interpreting financial definitions, proposing enhancements, and supporting our web-based analytics platform. Enhance the quality and speed of data retrieval by resolving exceptions and propose solutions for recurrent errors. Develop and implement web-based crawler and an Excel Macro downloader utilizing Python, SQL, and Excel VBA to automate the manual process of acquiring financial reports. Update and maintain cashflow data for ABS deals utilizing Moody’s tools. Improve financial data quality checks for the Moody's proprietary cashflow engine by performing statistical analysis. Refer to deal documents and interpret financial definitions specific to the structured finance markets to resolve complex financial data inquiries.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field plus 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a related position. Must have experience with the following: performing financial and credit analysis; performing financial and cashflow analysis; reviewing cashflow models and applying knowledge of financial quantitative methods and data analytics; applying knowledge of Probability, Statistics, Regression analysis, and Time series models; and utilizing data and programming tools, including VBA, Python, SQL, and R.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $100,547 - $141,100/year, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Annual base salary gross: $100,547 to $141,100 Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
