The Proposal Specialist reports to the Marketing Director, Proposal Development, and plays a key role in helping win new business! Our ideal candidate has experience managing multiple projects at once, working with a variety of personalities and seniority levels, and the ability to synthesize information. This position requires the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, be a flexible team player on a dynamic small team with a winning track record, develop and write content, and ensure compliance with brand requirements.


Responsibilities

  

· Project Management: Manage assigned RFx projects from start to finish, including identifying deliverables, working with Subject Matter Experts, and serving as the main point of contact for the Sales team, client, and internal resources. Use your attention to detail and time management skills to ensure everyone is aligned to deadlines.

· Flexible Team Player: Work with proposal development team members to proofread, edit, and support their projects, as assigned. Handle additional assignments as needed. Foster relationships with professionals at various levels. Enthusiastically work as part of a dynamic team, and be able to take direction and work independently as required.

· Content Development: Simplify and standardize input from Subject Matter Experts to align with corporate voice, fit targeted sales strategies, and highlight differentiators. Write executive summaries and edit general proposals based on the details of the opportunity, as outlined by sales. 

· Brand Ambassador: Ensure all information is accurate and complies with response requirements and brand guidelines. Align content to our corporate voice and ensure consistency with communications.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in proposal development, grant writing, marketing, or technical writing
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with a preference for marketing, advertising, corporate communications, journalism, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Experience with cloud-based RFP management software, such as Responsive (formerly known as RFPIO) or similar
  • Experience in a smaller, hands-on business environment
  • Membership in APMP with focus on best practices in proposal development a plus
  • Proficiency in other standard MS Office suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Adobe software.
  • Experience in the promotional products industry, a plus.

Compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to HALO at the time of the posting and does not include any potential benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The estimated base salary range for this position is between $60,000 - 65,000 USD.
