Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: 

  • Financial Services products and services (e.g., Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Insurance, FinTech); 

  • Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies and frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within the organization; 

  • Experience with Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) to identify and evaluate key risks, control effectiveness, potential gaps, and gaps remediation; 

  • Prior experience in working with first line of defense and second line of defense (2LOD) teams to establish strong risk management framework; 

  • Experience in implementing, assessing, and designing risk management policies, procedures, standards, playbooks, etc. to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and ongoing client changing needs; 

  • Experience in establishing risk library, control inventory, control monitoring protocols, etc.; 

  • Experience in Risk and control automation;  

  • Experience in developing GenAI use-cases for Risk and Control Assessment; 

  • Experience in conducting business and Tech risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls;

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in conducting IT risk assessments, including identifying IT-related risks, evaluating the effectiveness of IT controls, and recommending improvements to mitigate risks;

  • Proficiency in IT controls assessment, including evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls, identifying control deficiencies, and recommending remediation actions; 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed risk management decisions; 

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks; 

  • Strong knowledge and experience in payment processing, including familiarity with payment methods, industry regulations, and compliance requirements; 

  • Proficiency in payment systems and technologies, such as POS systems, mobile payments, e-commerce platforms, and online payment gateways; 

  • Proven experience in conducting payment risk assessments, including identifying and evaluating risks associated with payment processing, fraud prevention, data security, and transactional risk; 

  • Prior leadership position (e.g., banking, military, regulatory) including leading large programs or teams of individuals. Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success with assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of risk and compliance programs,including: 

  • Implementing leading standards (e.g. COSO, ERM), regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations; 

  • Defining risk management practices in alignment with organization's strategy; 

  • Assisting organizations with achieving a competitive advantage by managing risk and compliance in a streamlined manner and creating greater resilience to risk; 

  • Leading business and/or risk management teams to identify, assess, and actively manage financial and/or non-financial risk; 

  • Designing sustainable risk management and compliance programs, including governance and oversight, standards and processes, tools and technology, metrics and reporting; and; 

Client Facing Experience Requirement 

  • Leading client discussions, meetings, and relationships as a trusted advisor; 

  • Structuring client strategies based on understanding of business needs; 

  • Communicating a broad range of Firm services; 

  • Utilizing negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; 

  • Communicating complex messages clearly and concisely in verbal and written form; 

  • Managing client feedback and navigating ambiguous situations to deliver on client requests; 

Project Management  

  • Managing engagement economics, billing and collections, and contracts; 

  • Building relationships with internal and client stakeholders. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader: 

  • Leading large or multiple teams and creating an atmosphere of trust; 

  • Generating a vision and establishing direction for the team, encouraging a diversity of opinions; 

  • Creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; 

  • Providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; 

  • Keeping leadership informed of progress and issues; 

  • Managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues; and, 

  • Considering cross-cultural differences and fostering a global mindset for the team. 

  • Financial Services industry companies, trends, and practices; 

  • Analyzation of large data sets and familiarity with related data analysis tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Salesforce); 

  • Business process design, modeling, and automation as well as related tools (e.g., UiPath); and/or 

  • Designing and implementing models for data classification and mapping based on regulatory and business requirements to provide requisite dashboards and reporting. Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs:

The salary range for this position is: $84,000 - $202,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
