Business Development Project Manager

Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

 

Lead projects of to successful completion involving internal resources and external stakeholders for developing new business for PARP through innovation projects, and new business models (incl. M&A) from end to end.

Ensure the new business growth in alignment with PARP budget and strategic plan.

 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Identify opportunities of new business in the various  PARP subsegments (M&A, key partnerships, disruptive or complex innovation projects, new business models)

  • Define the right products, market approach, operational set-up, team and external partners  for implementing those opportunities

  • Break down these into tangible objectives and associated sets of actions

  • Lead informal teams and facilitate the team work for executing these actions and reaching the objectives

  • Delivery on the projects financials (revenue, margin, costs) and timeline

  • Act as a primary contact and responsible to manage the contacts with external partners

  • Prepare and lead regular reviews, including presentations

  • Collaborate with other Imerys functions and segments to ensure potential synergies

  • Ability to manage complex projects leading transversal teams 

  • Good understanding of P&L data and financial modelling as key tools to understand the new business profitability

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision and deliver results in due time, working on the right priorities

  • Strong project and informal team management skills in order to mobilise the team around the objective

  • Good presentation and communication skills that can adapt across multiple levels of partners’ organisation

  • Ability to build both internal and external relationship

  • Good technical skills to understand how our products are made and add value to the customer.

  • Ability to adapt to/ apply Imerys values and new ways of working

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 
  • Master degree in Science, Engineering

  • Masters or MBA Preferred

  • Strong experience of project management

  • 5  years experience in marketing, sales or business development with a technical product

  • Knowledge of the markets of the markets of Plastics, Adhesives, Rubber and Paints and their technologies and players

  • 30-40% travel time on average. 

  • Business acumen and Technical understanding of the mineral industry.

  • Professional English level, other languages will be appreciated (French will be a plus)
