Summary:
Ariba Buying & Invoicing team is dedicated to building the procurement application, which is intuitive, innovative, and easy to use. The application would need to ensure Goods & Services spending is tracked for an organization to ensure processes & policies are adhered to and thereby enable our customers to manage spending efficiently. We challenge ourselves to learn about the industry processes and translate them into a product with usability being the centerpiece and delight our customers.
Role Information:
• Build on the Buying & Invoicing solution for Ariba to become market leader in Procurement.
• Venture into the procurement domain and understand the business concepts in procurement.
• Work on key areas of Buying & Invoicing and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Work on a cloud-based procurement solution and learn cloud concepts
• Work on the SAP Ariba application, which is built of core components that include persistence, meta-data model, object model framework, messaging layer etc.
• Work on customer issues to ensure good feature adoption.
• Learn from the usage patterns of our customers and provide solutions to enhance the functionality for customers to derive value.
• Work on solving scalability and performance problems.
• Work closely with Architects/Team Leads to learn & build game changing products.
• Take ownership of tasks/projects and work with team members to provide solutions.
• Perform strong design & code reviews of peers.
Experience:
We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. The role requires:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or any Engineering domain with equivalent work experience in Software Programming.
• 8 - 12 years of development experience developing production grade software
• Has a solid command over object-oriented programming principles with skills in core Java
• Able to apply algorithms to optimize code to build super-fast solutions.
• Good Database concepts and experience with at least 1 database technology (i.e. SQL or NoSQL)
• Experience in Webservices using SOAP & REST
• Good knowledge & experience in building microservice applications.
• Able to provide design/solutions to complex requirements in the application.
• Has strong communication & collaboration skills.
