Overview

The SAP ABAP UI5 FIORI Consultant plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP solutions using ABAP, SAPUI5, and FIORI technologies to meet the business requirements of the organization. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, understanding business processes, and delivering high-quality solutions to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and document requirements for SAP solutions.
Design and develop custom SAP solutions using ABAP programming language.
Create and enhance SAPUI5 applications for web and mobile platforms.
Implement and customize SAP FIORI applications based on user requirements.
Perform debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of existing SAP programs and interfaces.
Integrate SAP modules and external systems to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during design, development, and testing phases.
Conduct unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing for SAP applications.
Collaborate with functional consultants to ensure the integration of custom developments with standard SAP modules.
Create and maintain technical documentation for SAP solutions and developments.
Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices.
Participate in the continuous improvement of SAP development processes and standards.
Resolve technical issues and provide timely support to address production incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SAP-related initiatives and projects.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an SAP ABAP consultant or developer.
Proficiency in SAPUI5, FIORI, and OData services development.
Strong programming skills in ABAP, ABAP Object Oriented (OO), and Web Dynpro ABAP.
Experience in customizing and extending standard FIORI applications.
Knowledge of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, CO, and integration with other third-party systems.
Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
Excellent understanding of SAP development tools, debugging techniques, and performance optimization.
Familiarity with SAP HANA database and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identify and resolve technical challenges.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Certification in SAP ABAP development is preferred.
Experience in full-cycle SAP implementation and support projects is desirable.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management practices is a plus.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
