The Director Master Data & Projects focuses on continuous improvement efforts across our supply network, driving the tactical execution of world-class Supply Chain and value improvement concepts. He/She evaluates gaps, develops the required tactical initiatives, scoping and aligning work activities to achieve the Supply Chain end-state vision. This role will work cross-functionally establishing resource requirements, priorities and acceptable timelines. The Director will develop and understand user requirements, working with support and adjacent functionalities tracking performance to realize results.

The primary responsibility of the role is to lead a networked team of professionals to improve and sustain data elements supporting processes, practices, systems and projects within the CHI Supply Chain. It develops and oversees training to ensure sustained practices.

The position leads a team of professionals including data stewards, data analytics and reporting personnel as well as leveraging team members in project oversite, process auditing.

This position will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency and quality of master data across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experiences.

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Achieving and maintaining harmonized SC processes and business standards through engaging functional / site SC leaders and directing efforts of SC operations personnel (Master Data Stewards, Analytics & Improvement, other various SMEs at scale).
  • Lead a Global Master Data Functionality for Lonza CHI with all processes, practices and tools developed and implemented. Oversee Master Data Management teams and partners to develop data definitions, business rules and standards for master data. Develop, monitor and enforce data management policies, procedures, and standards for operational processes and reporting.
  • Lead Analytics and reporting efforts in relation to fit for purpose site and functional processes in line with CHI strategy.
  • Develop harmonized training materials for Supply Chain functionalities to ensure advancements are integrated into our culture
  • Develop and execute audit cycle functionality for processes, tools, systems and practices creating sustainability.
  • Create structure and governance to oversee Supply Chain Project  functionality and tasks to deliver value on time.
  • Creation, training and rollout of harmonized KPIs, including operational, financial, people, quality and project execution.
  • Drive life cycle data management activities across all functions.
  • Engage Lonza corporate CoEs to align and improve Supply Chain operations where appropriate to drive value.  Add value to broader organization influencing a one Lonza approach.
  • Oversite and tracking of projects and initiatives.
  • Establish and work within operating budgets for group.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain
  • English Business fluent; Any other major languages is nice to have.
  • Advanced no. of years of experience in Process/ Systems improvement
  • Proven experience within Master data is a MUST.
  • Highly experienced in Supply chain
  • Change Management
  • End to End understanding of SC workstreams
  • Understanding of how systems support processes
