MS Intune Technical Support Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled MS Intune Technical Support Specialist to join our IT support team. This role is responsible for providing expert technical assistance and support for Microsoft Intune deployments, configurations, and troubleshooting across a diverse environment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), and security policies within the Intune ecosystem. They will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth device management, supporting user needs, and maintaining robust security protocols for our organizations digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for Microsoft Intune-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems with device configurations, MDM, MAM, and policy enforcement.
  • Configuration & Deployment: Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of Intune across various devices and operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS).
  • Security Policies: Implement and manage security policies for mobile and desktop devices, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Device Management: Manage device inventory and compliance, ensuring devices meet security and operational standards.
  • Incident Resolution: Track, monitor, and resolve Intune-related incidents and requests via ticketing systems within established SLAs.
  • End-User Support: Support end-users by responding to technical queries related to Intune, providing training when necessary to optimize their experience.
  • Policy & Profile Updates: Update and maintain Intune policies, configurations, and device profiles based on organizational requirements and security best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT security, systems administration, and application support teams to ensure cohesive security and device management strategies.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Intune configurations, troubleshooting processes, and end-user guides.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Intune features, trends, and best practices to improve support and management practices.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, MCSA, or CompTIA A+ are advantageous.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in technical support or systems administration roles with a focus on Microsoft Intune and MDM solutions.
  • Proven experience with device enrollment, policy management, and troubleshooting in Intune.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Intune, MDM, MAM, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows, iOS, Android, and macOS devices within the Intune framework.
  • Familiarity with security compliance policies, conditional access, and app protection policies.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting within Intune.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on providing efficient and effective support.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with additional Microsoft 365 and Azure tools, such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Autopilot, and Defender for Endpoint.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals, VPN configuration, and remote management.
