The Senior Director, Leadership Development will be responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of the Leading at Otis Academy, comprising leadership development programs and solutions for Otis globally with a focus on building leadership capabilities to support strategic business goals. As a key member of the Talent CoE, this leader will be a credible influencer who can leverage data, technology and cutting-edge best practice to provide solutions for the business through the evolution of colleagues as leaders.
This visible role reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Global Learning, is location flexible, and can be fully remote, hybrid or on-site depending on location and preferences.
Key Accountabilities:
• Design and implement a portfolio of leadership development programs and solutions that create a clear growth pathway to enhance the strategic leadership capabilities and skills of leaders at all levels.
• Engage with senior business leaders, stakeholders, conduct needs assessments, create learning objectives, establish budgets, identify third-party partners, leverage existing content, develop nomination criteria, and recommend KPIs for measurement.
• Develop your team through the acquisition, coaching, and engagement of talent who are responsible for creating and supporting key elements of strategic leadership development creation and delivery.
• Develop and shape a learning culture in the organization through driving innovative learning for global leaders.
• Measure and assess the impact of strategic leadership development initiatives, continuously refining and adapting programs to meet evolving needs of the organization.
• Role model and demonstrate unwavering commitment to The Otis’ Absolutes: Ethics, Safety & Quality in all daily work, decisions and in the environment created for your team.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory, strategic content vendor management, facilitation skills and experience driving strategy-focused talent/ learning initiatives.
• Skilled in completion of learning needs assessment & in the translation of forecasted business capability needs to a learning plan.
• Ability to execute on the learning plan, deliver learning interventions & enhance end to end learning impact to maximize ROI.
• Program Management experience; demonstrated ability to design and deliver strategic leadership programs for a wide audience, from executives to front-line colleagues.
• Demonstrated success in metrics-driven environment; experience with data analytics preferred.
• Ability to establish credibility and build collaborative partnerships with all levels of management and individuals across a broad range of business groups.
• Demonstrated success as change agent and advocate for change.
• Direct experience in curriculum design is preferred.
• Empathetic, inclusive leader skilled in building and empowering teams.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, influencing and project management skills, combined with the ability to excel in a global, multicultural environment.
• Willingness and desire to roll up sleeves and provide hands-on expertise where needed in addition to strategic guidance.
• A passion for inclusion with demonstrated experience leveraging Total Rewards strategies to support an organization’s broader Talent, DE&I goals.
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this role is USD $170k - $235k. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This position is eligible to participate in our annual short-term Incentive plan.
