So, what will your new role look like?   

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Marketing role is crafted for a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial leader ready to shape and execute a bold marketing strategy for the Workleap employee experience platform. As part of a challenger brand in HR tech, you'll elevate our brand presence, foster community, drive demand, and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table. Working within a dynamic, cross-functional team of specialists across product marketing, growth, brand, and community, you'll lead strategic alignment efforts to drive growth and amplify market impact, with a focus on guiding this collaboration forward and unlocking new levels of success together. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our growth objectives, driving Workleap’s brand awareness, demand generation, and community engagement. 
  • Work closely with leaders across growth, product, and executive teams to co-create an integrated marketing strategy that aligns with company objectives.  
  • Drive alignment and consistency in go-to-market initiatives through effective communication and strategic planning, ensuring all efforts contribute to Workleap’s overall success. 
  • Leverage strong project management skills to coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring they remain aligned with our growth trajectory and deliver on key objectives. 
    • Brand Development: Shape an authentic brand identity that resonates within HR and HR tech, positioning Workleap as a trusted, innovative voice. 
    • Demand Generation: Lead multi-channel campaigns to build the pipeline and meet revenue goals. 
    • Community Engagement: Foster a vibrant community of HR professionals, users, and advocates through compelling content, events, and partnerships.  
    • Product Marketing: Craft product marketing strategies that highlight our unique value, working with product teams to ensure messaging resonates and drives adoption. 
  • Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives, measuring success and refining strategies to maximize impact.

  • Experience: You bring 8-12 years in marketing leadership roles, ideally as a well-rounded marketing generalist with specialized strengths that set you apart—perhaps you even have the breadth of a GM. Your experience spans multiple facets of marketing, with a strong foundation in growth or product marketing. Background in HR or a related industry is a valuable asset. 
  • Challenger Mindset: Brings a proactive, forward-thinking approach to building a brand from early stages to significant growth. Experience with growth from $10/$20 million to $50-$60 is a major asset.
  • Entrepreneurial & Resourceful: A self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive and strong business acumen, this person is highly resourceful, finding creative solutions and moving initiatives forward with an integrated team.
  • Community Builder: Expertise in community engagement and brand-building, able to foster strong connections within the HR industry. 
  • Demand-Driven: Skilled in devising and executing multi-channel demand generation strategies that contribute directly to growth objectives. 
  • Data-Driven: Adept at analyzing metrics and adjusting strategies to optimize performance, with a commitment to achieving tangible results.
