We are looking for a Manager, SOC Engineering, who enjoys security work in a Global Distributed Security Operations Center that covers high impact infrastructures deployed all over the world. You will help us acquire value on the frontline of top-notch technology security with your security incident investigations helping the team protect system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations

  • In collaboration with the CISO, set the vision and strategy for the Security Operations Center (SOC), including both the internal and customer-facing areas of the program. 

  • Lead and manage the SOC team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational security strategies and objectives.

  • Oversee the 24/7 monitoring and analysis of security events and incidents, ensuring timely detection, response, and resolution.

  • Manage and optimize security tools and technologies deployed in the SOC, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention System), and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response).

  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of security tools, recommending enhancements or new solutions to improve the SOC's capabilities.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with the Digital and Customer Success/ Support departments to ensure alignment in our strategy and tactical operation of both internally and externally-facing portions of the SOC program.


 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are highly desirable.

  • Proven experience (10 years) in a leadership role within a client-facing SOC or a similar security operations environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.

  • Strong understanding of incident response frameworks and methodologies, with hands-on experience in leading and managing incident response activities.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001), and industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS).

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proactive mindset with a continuous learning approach to stay updated with the evolving threat landscape and emerging security technologies.
