Background & Qualifications

  • Being a 3rd / 4th year undergraduate student or a 1st year post graduate student in an accredited university, preferably in Social Sciences

  • Able to work minimum 2,5 days availability per week

  • Strong interest in corporate sustainability, communication and public relations

  • Good command of written and spoken English

  • Competent in MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Being able to accommodate in İstanbul during the internship period

  • High degree of analytical thinking skills and the ability to analyze,

  • Having excellent communication skills

Job Description

As a Corporate Affairs Intern at AstraZeneca, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. This role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of corporate affairs, with a focus on sustainability initiatives and communication. You will collaborate closely with various teams to support AstraZeneca's corporate affairs initiatives and contribute to effective internal and external engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research:

Monitor sustainability trends and best practices in pharmaceutical industry.

  • Project Support:

Assist development and implementation of sustainability projects

Assist social media content development

Provide organizational support to our flagship Young Health Programme, including scheduling, logistics, and documentation.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of sustainability goals within the organization.

  • Internal Communication:

Support the Corporate Affairs team in disseminating information about sustainability projects and updates to employees.

Organize and participate in internal events and campaigns to raise awareness about sustainability practices.

Assist coordination and management of employee social clubs to foster a sense of community among employees.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

Help prepare sustainability presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Track and document progress on sustainability initiatives, ensuring timely updates and accurate record-keeping.
