Senior Premium Auditor

Classification: Exempt, Full-time

Division: Corporate/Casualty

Reports to: VP Premium Audit

Travel: 15-30%

Work Environment: Hybrid/Remote

Salary: $110,000.00-$135,000.00 + performance bonus eligible

About the role:
DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Premium Auditor to join the team. The Senior Premium Auditor role is a key business partner within the company. The Senior Premium Auditor role will work alongside the Premium Audit team to complete audits timely and accurately to support all auditable lines within Casualty business units writing in all US states.  


Essential Functions:

  • Perform General Liability, Commercial Auto, and Inland Marine quality audits daily to meet production goals, quality standards, and meet time service standards for carrier partners.

  • Perform some Workers Compensation quality audits (growing book) and meet statutory and carrier time service standards.  

  • Handle all audit disputes (from vendors or internal) timely with Agents and policyholders.

  • Document all progress notes in audit system timely.

  • Collaborate with Operations and process all final audit transactions within system.

  • Collaborate with Accounting team to ensure all audits and audit disputes are billed properly and timely.

  • Participate in new carrier / program onboarding to define Premium Audit process and implementation.

  • Assist with new Premium Audit system implementation and build out of rules, letters/notices, and ongoing management with support from third party vendor and IT/Data team.

  • Provide Underwriting training presentations, as needed, for any concerns/patterns found at time of audit.

  • Support VP Premium Audit with Premium Audit operational needs to support Casualty business objectives.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Accounting, Operations, and Data team, to ensure quality services, audit billing/non-compliance billing, and execution of projects.

  • Address issues escalated by Business Unit Leads, Carrier Partners or Operational Supervisors – further escalating to VP if needed.

  • Assist with new processes to improve and streamline operational processes and efficiencies.

  • Ensure compliance with state rules by auditable line of business, manual rules, workflows, and procedures.

  • Assist with execution of strategic plans established by executive management.

  • Manage and complete projects as needed.

  • Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the company.

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Insurance related field or Commensurate experience

  • Insurance Licensure preferred

  • Strong insurance manual (ISO, NCCI, WCIRB, etc.) and Premium Audit knowledge, particularly with respect to MGAs

  • Possession of key competencies:

    • conflict management

    • organization

    • decision making

  • Minimum of 8 years as a Premium Auditor supporting all auditable lines of business. Physical auditor experience preferred.

  • Prior Insurance Carrier experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated success with innovating solutions to processes to increase efficiencies and productivity

  • Solve problems when direction is lacking

  • Use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams

  • Strong organizational skills with flexible, enthusiastic approach to change

  • Professional work ethic

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
