Job description

Overview:

The Land Planner I will play a pivotal role in supporting diverse land-use planning projects by conducting research and contributing to the creation of essential planning documents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting thorough research and data collection for land-use planning projects.
  • Support site analysis activities, including conducting field surveys and interpreting data.
  • Prepare essential planning documents, such as site plans, zoning maps, and comprehensive land-use analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and detailed reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Keep up to date with changing zoning regulations, environmental policies, and current trends in land use.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Previous experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
  • Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime
