ABOUT THE ROLE

The Bilingual Telephonic Triage Nurse is a critical role on the Galileo care team. This individual will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure our patients receive the highest quality care when they have a clinical concern.  Fluency in Spanish is a MUST.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Triage and provide clinical support for incoming patient communications via telephone triage line.
  • Conduct phone assessments of clinical symptoms to determine the best path of care.
  • Assist in the development of processes and systems for urgent care and virtual triage.
  • Collaborate with clinical care teams to provide excellent patient care

We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:

  • Licensed RN with 2+ years experience doing clinical triage
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a MUST
  • Compact state licensure.
  • Excellent knowledge of chronic disease states, complex medical conditions, and exceptional ability to complete clinical phone assessments; experience in high acuity clinical environments (eg, ED, ICU) a plus
  • Passionate about continual improvement of the broader system by which we support people in a higher quality, lower cost way
  • Skilled in communicating urgent needs to a diverse group of patients and across teams
  • Skilled in written communication and technology
  • Experience providing culturally appropriate education to patients and their families targeted to their medical literacy level
  • Experience functioning and collaborating on multidisciplinary care teams 
  • Have a track record as a supportive leader and are excited about helping others build knowledge and skills
  • Possesses excellent problem solving skills and an ability to overcome systematic hurdles in order to fulfill patient needs
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Independent self-starter and strategic thinker who is excited about the big picture of improving community health
  • Experience in geriatrics is a plus

COMPENSATION:: $46/hr standard rate, $55/hr premium rate
