Job description

We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager. This role will work closely with Posit’s Marketing team from a position on our integrated Revenue Operations team.

The Marketing Operations Manager will design, build, and align our marketing technology stack in partnership with marketers and sellers to support Posit’s revenue growth goals. While working from a basis of Marketo and Salesforce, candidates will benefit from experience with sales-forward parts of the Marketing technology stack, including tools such as Outreach, 6sense, and Commonroom.io. Candidates will have demonstrated success working with marketing technologies, managing complex operational systems, and streamlining marketing processes. This individual will play a key role in ensuring we have the necessary tools, processes, and data-driven insights to grow our pipeline and drive revenue goals.

What you will own:
  • Administer our core marketing tech stack Marketo, LeanData, 6sense, and more
  • Maintain and optimize existing tools and integrations, as well as evaluate and implement future integrations and 3rd party tools
  • Build and maintain pre-sales workflows to enhance outreach and prospecting strategies, ensuring proper data flow for Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and lead management
  • Assist in designing a new operational ABM marketing strategy and help implement an ABM tool to execute that strategy
  • Own the integration and configuration of marketing tools across the tech stack, working closely with sales operations to ensure seamless communication between marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools
  • Align closely with our Sales Operations and Data Science Center of Excellence to provide visibility into key marketing performance metrics, such as engagement, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution
  • Coordinate with Sales Operations to ensure continuity and consistency across all of our go-to-market systems and data, improving business processes for standardization and uniformity
  • Support our lead enrichment and database hygiene strategies to improve the quality of our marketable universe and allow us to better segment and target audiences

What you will assist with:
  • Partner with the broader Marketing Operations team to support cross-functional projects and initiatives, contributing to both inbound and outbound operations. Provide input and identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements that align with business goals
  • Collaborate with revenue leaders and sales teams to align marketing efforts with sales strategies, ensuring that tools and processes support their prospecting and pipeline-building activities
  • Assist in developing and maintaining marketing playbooks that extend into pre and post-sales functions to ensure consistency in messaging
  • Work with key cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for technology enhancements, process improvements, and system integrations that drive marketing efficiency
  • Act as a key partner to our demand generation and event marketing teams to build, test, & optimize campaign assets, scalable reporting models, and optimization frameworks
  • Support the optimization of our lead and account scoring, object routing, & lifecycle methodologies to increase funnel efficiencies and conversion rates

A bit about you:
  • You have 5+ years of prior experience in Marketing Operations within the context of B2B marketing, and you know how to work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and beyond
  • Deep understanding of the b2b funnel and systems/processes that support running a multi-channel demand generation engine
  • You have experience with Marketo and Salesforce as the MAP+CRM hub and have worked with other MarTech such as, or similar to, LeanData, Clearbit, Commonroom, 6sense, etc. Certifications are welcome, but enthusiasm and technical curiosity are just as valued
  • You’re comfortable hitting send on broad and impactful email campaigns and launching workflows that deliver content directly to important prospects and valued customers, but your keen attention to detail has you double and triple-checking everything before you do
  • You’re technically minded and eager to diagnose an issue when you find it. You’re always thinking about how workflows, data fields, and integrations interact with one another
  • When you need clarity, your instinct is to pull data into a spreadsheet, and you know your way around Excel or Google Sheets – you can transform and analyze a data table until you figure it out
  • You’re a fast learner who thinks about problems creatively, always curious to know about new technologies and how they can address today’s and tomorrow’s problems
  • At the foundation of it all is your strong sense of organization and an orientation toward process, ensuring that what you build today will scale with the business
Working at Posit:
  • We welcome all talented colleagues and are committed to a culture that represents diversity in all its forms.
  • We prioritize giving ourselves “focus time” to get deep work done. We minimize meetings and attempt to operate asynchronously.
  • We are a learning organization and take mentorship and career growth seriously. We hope to learn from you and we anticipate that you will also deepen your skills, influence, and leadership as a result of working at Posit.
