Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in Mechanical, Plumbing & Fire Protection (MPFP) systems to join our team immediately. This is a work-from-home opportunity, and the ideal candidate must have solid experience working in the construction and engineering industry, particularly in MPFP projects. Proficiency in Planswift and Bluebeam is essential for performing accurate measurements, cost estimations, and project take-offs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quantity take-offs and cost estimations for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems including HVAC, piping, fire suppression, and sprinkler systems for construction projects.
  • Use Planswift and Bluebeam to accurately measure and extract quantities from construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Review MPFP design plans and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure that all cost estimations are precise and aligned with project requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze detailed cost reports, providing clear breakdowns of material and labor requirements.
  • Support the procurement process by providing input on materials and resource quantities for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection works.
  • Assist in preparing tender documents, bids, and contract management for MPFP systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prior solid experience as a specialist in the construction and engineering industry is mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor specializing in Mechanical, Plumbing & Fire Protection (MPFP) systems within the construction and engineering industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Planswift and Bluebeam for measurement, take-offs, and cost estimation.
  • In-depth knowledge of MPFP systems, including mechanical systems (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, and associated equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design drawings and generate accurate cost estimates and material take-offs.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients.
  • Immediate availability to join and start contributing to ongoing projects.
