About the job:
 
Unlimit is looking for a Head of Banking and Network Relationships for the advertised region. The
Banking and Network team is responsible for managing Unlimit’s global partnerships with banks
and payment providers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the payments and banking industry, a strong
record in partnership management, and a drive for innovation in financial services. Key duties
include establishing new banking and payment partnerships in the region, managing these
relationships end-to-end, and nurturing existing ones. This role focuses on building and
executing sustainable network partnerships across the payments and financial services
ecosystem. We seek a self-motivated individual with strong business acumen and high energy.

Reporting to the Group Head of Banking and Network, this individual contributor role suits
someone with a robust network and experience in banking and payments. For the right
candidate, it’s an opportunity to shape Unlimit’s regional banking partnership strategy and
support our ambitious growth goals.


Key duties and responsibilities:

Relationship Building and Management
- Establish, manage, and nurture relationships with Tier 1 and regional banks to
expand Unlimit’s banking network.
- Build relationships with regional banks and partners globally to expand Unlimit’s
cross-border payment solutions and Alternative Payment Methods (APMs).
- Actively maintain and grow existing banking relationships to enhance service
offerings, such as transaction speed, cost reduction, and transparency.
End-to-End Partner Onboarding
- Identify and onboard potential banking and payment system partners, presenting
Unlimit as a client and negotiating commercial terms.
- Complete necessary application processes, including account opening,
compliance, and due diligence, to ensure readiness for development.
- Ensure all banking partnerships comply with regulatory requirements, working
with Compliance and Legal teams to mitigate risks.
Strategic Development and Growth
- Develop strategies to enhance the effectiveness of banking partnerships in line
with Unlimit’s growth objectives.
- Research and explore new markets, payment rails, domestic schemes, and
banking providers to support Unlimit’s expansion plans.
- Set and implement the regional strategy to support Unlimit’s growth and meet the
needs of our users.
Operational Efficiency and Compliance
- Manage essential documentation, including KYC and compliance policies, for all
banking partners.
- Collaborate closely with Unlimit’s Compliance and Legal teams to gather required
documentation for applications.
- Respond promptly to requirements from local authorities and Unlimit’s third
parties across various time zones.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Work with banking partners to innovate and improve product offerings, enhancing
speed, reducing costs, and adding transparency to transactions.
- Identify and address legal and business challenges, providing solutions to
support Unlimit’s objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Representation
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the banking sector to
support Unlimit’s strategic goals.
- Represent Unlimit at meetings with banking partners and industry events,
advocating for the company’s interests.
Project Management and Business Insight
- Lead ad-hoc projects as needed, providing valuable insights and practical input to
stakeholders across the business.


Skills and experience required: 

Industry Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of global payments, electronic money institutions (EMIs),
FX, banking operations, regulations, and market trends.
Professional Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in a similar role within fintech, payments or banking
sectors managing banking relationships, with a proven record of successful
partnership management and relationship building with banks and financial
institutions
- Extensive existing network within the banking industry preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong relationship management skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to the payments
industry.
- Proven negotiation skills with ambition for driving Unlimit’s value and
differentiation within its network.
- Experience managing complex, first-of-its-kind deals with top financial
institutions and interfacing with C-level executives.
Communication and Adaptability:
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple projects
simultaneously.
