This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Part-time (20+ hours/week), Flexible days/hours for Virtual Bookkeeping.  When meeting is needed please schedule only Monday- Thursday between hours 0800 -1500. (12:00 AM to 7:00 AM PHT)

Job Description

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you’ll play a crucial role in revamping and maintaining the financial records of this thriving trucking enterprise. Your primary focus will be on cleaning up 2-3 years of historical data and establishing efficient bookkeeping processes using QuickBooks. This challenging position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong reconciliation skills and a deep understanding of American bookkeeping practices. Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliations using QuickBooks for multiple business entities
  • Lead the cleanup and organization of 2-3 years of historical financial records
  • Implement and maintain robust bookkeeping processes aligned with American accounting standards
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks across various growing businesses within the organization
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial reports to support decision-making and growth strategies
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring high accuracy in all transactions
  • Collaborate with management to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency


Requirements
  • Proven experience in American bookkeeping practices, particularly in the trucking industry or multi-entity businesses
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and strong reconciliation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high accuracy in high-volume transaction environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial discrepancies
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with remote team members
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and potential scope expansion, including possible future Canadian bookkeeping needs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
