If so, Guardian is seeking an In Plan Annuities Product Development professional.

We are seeking experienced in-plan guarantee/annuities product development talent to drive the growth of Guardian’s In-Plan Guarantee/Annuities business. The successful candidate will be a part of a team responsible for business development, acquisition, servicing, technology support, growth strategies, product innovation, and legal compliance. The role requires a strong problem solver with a background in annuities and a consistent track record of driving profitable growth. As our Product Development Specialist, you will report to our Head of In Plan Annuities, who reports to our Head of Individual Markets.

You Will:

  • Support and shape customer experience for participants.
  • Oversee illustrations and purchase processes.
  • Manage in-force servicing to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Implement and support technology solutions to enhance business operations.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth, including placement on 3rd party platforms.
  • Drive RFI/RFPs and directly source commercial business with key contacts at institutional partners and asset managers.
  • Drive in-force profitability and manage long-term capital to optimize return on capital (RoC) and earnings emergence.
  • Ensure all business activities align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance customer value through innovative solutions and excellent service.
  • Support growth of proprietary sales profitably.
  • Provide precise and effective education to ensure successful adoption of in-plan guarantees.

You Have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Deep understanding of annuities, particularly group annuities
  • Deep understanding of the defined contribution retirement plan markets
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to gain consensus and influence stakeholders outside one’s own business unit
  • Growth mindset that embraces the art of the possible
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Location & Travel:

  • The primary location for this position is Hudson Yards, NY
  • Less than 10% Travel required for this position

Salary Range
$129,500.00 - $212,750.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
