To review, balance and reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve outstanding items in order to maintain efficiency and accuracy in the accounting department.

SCHEDULE
Full-Time
To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully.
- Account payable processing. Including review coding and payment of invoices submitted for payment by outside suppliers.
- Handles questions and requests from internal customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts to third party statements and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy of accounting records.
- Makes needed adjusting and/or correcting entries to the accounting records to bring records into balance.
- Handles duties such as but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Cash Proof Balancing, Corporate Balancing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience
6 months of related experience. Experience reconciling cash and other general ledger accounts. Other specific skills may also be needed to perform the duties that will be assigned.
Education
Associate's degree in accounting preferred, or an equivalent knowledge of accounting principles.

Language Skills
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
Computer/Office Equipment Skills
Intermediate to Advanced skills in the following: Adding machine/10-Key, computer operating skills (windows navigation, mouse/keyboard functionality), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite. Must have the ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentage, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
PHYSICAL ABILITES / WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands
Requires sitting, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talks and hears.
Vision Requirements
Requires close, distance, peripheral and depth perception vision as well as the ability to focus.

Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs, occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds and rarely lifts up to 100 pounds.

Moderate noise such as a business office with equipment and light traffic.
