The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company’s Oracle and SQL Server databases. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work well with a team.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Ensure database performance, availability, and security.
Develop and implement database standards and infrastructure.
Monitor and optimize database performance and manage database capacity.
Plan and execute database migration, upgradation, and patching.
Conduct database troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Backup and restore databases.
Interface with developers and provide SQL tuning advice.

Required Skills and Experience:

8-9 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
Proficient in Oracle and SQL Server database administration.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO).
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle and SQL Server.
Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
Knowledge of Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or Microsoft SQL Server certification.
Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Familiarity with server virtualization and SAN management.

Work Environment: This position may require occasional evening and weekend work depending on the needs of the organization. The role may also involve being on call to respond to incidents and emergencies.
