The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Team:

RTX has an opening for a Continuous Improvement (CORE) Lead (Sr. Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) to join the Enterprise Data Services (EDX) team and drive continuous improvement.  Hybrid/Remote Opportunity (Farmington CT/Brooklyn NY Offices).

This position will report into EDX’s Senior Director, Business and Program Management.  

The EDX Continuous Improvement (CORE) Lead Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex partnerships and driving improvements to EDX key processes and services.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement expertise and leadership skills to drive process improvements and resolve issues.
  • Lead project management of multiple integrated and interdependent efforts.
  • Partner to deploy and implement the CORE operating system for EDX.
  • Interact closely and be responsible for communicating with various levels of leadership to deliver results.

What You Will Do:

  • Drives implementation of RTX continuous improvement strategy (CORE) to accelerate results.
  • Resolves critical, high-visibility problems to deliver service maturity improvements.
  • Leverages continuous improvement methods and tools to reduce waste, optimize workflows to increase productivity and define standard work.
  • Drives defined standard work processes across teams and overall EDX organization.
  • Improves overall flow of people, process, and/or technology throughout services and key processes.
  • Leads and manages delivery of multiple improvement initiatives that drive progress on EDX goals & KPIs.
  • Supports and drives cross RTX CORE goals and outcomes, driving organizational alignment and improving operational excellence.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the continuous improvement and strategy arena and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 7+ years’ experience and related work experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in Project and/or program management experience/expertise.
  • 3+ years' Continuous Improvement Expertise (either Six Sigma Lean, CORE Professional, or equivalent certification).
  • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Agile product & software development. 
  • Experience applying lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement methods to technology organizations.
  • CORE Expert, Expert in Training, or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to interface directly with senior leadership to positively influence and lead culture change.
  • Previous experience with data, AI organization.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
