About you and this role:
Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Operations IT Solution Specialist located in Quebec, Canada (Remote).
This role will be part of a team that develops and supports a variety of enterprise applications, with a strong emphasis on .NET 8, Angular/React, SQL Server, and the Azure stack. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in these technologies and familiar with modern software development practices.
This role offers the opportunity to work with Angular/React, .NET 8, SQL Server, and Azure in various projects and environments, ensuring sustainable and supportable enterprise solutions development. The candidate should be committed to continuous learning and comfortable adapting to new technologies as required.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop enterprise solutions with a focus on .NET 8, Angular/React, SQL Server, and Azure for our global organization.
Support and troubleshoot solutions currently in our portfolio, especially those developed using .NET 8, Angular/React, SQL Server, and Azure.
Develop applications, APIs, data models, and integrations that are sustainable and supportable.
Create support and design documentation that is clearly detailed.
Collaborate using modern software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum, DevOps, etc.) and tools (Git, Insomnia/Postman, static code analysis, etc.).
Due to the global nature of the team, the candidate may need to work evening hours to meet with team members in the USA.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering with software development experience.
A minimum of 7 years of related working experience.
A minimum of 3 years of direct software development experience
Extensive experience with .NET 8, Angular/React, SQL Server, and Azure.
Experience with Microsoft’s software development stack, including Entity Framework and HTML.
Experience with frontend web libraries/frameworks: Angular, Bootstrap, ASP.NET MVC, etc.
Fluency in English.
A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
Preferred Skills:
General familiarity with Azure Developer services: App services, Functions, Logic Apps, Application Insights, Azure SQL, etc.
Willing and able to learn new technologies as needed.
Experience with Java backend services, SQL Server Integration Services, Python, ASP.NET, Windows development, .NET Core, MySQL, Couchbase, Linux, Kubernetes.
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
Experience in or supporting the Maintenance and/or Turnaround business processes is a plus.
