The Position

We're aiming for an EARLY JANUARY 2025 start date for this role!

The Business Development Executive role is critical to the growth of the company. If you have interest in tech sales, are relentless, thrive in a competitive environment, and want to make an immediate impact by being the first hire to help us develop a new market, this role is a great opportunity for you.

Machinio.com is the fastest growing platform connecting buyers with sellers from various segments of the equipment industry, and it is innovating an old-school $400 BILLION dollar industry. With teammates all over the world, this role offers the unique opportunity to be a part of something unconventional with limitless growth potential. The experience you obtain at Machinio in 3 months is equivalent to the experience you'd get in 1 year anywhere else!

Machinio.com

Our products are revolutionizing the multi-generational machinery industry. We have been previously featured in Forbes (founders recognized as 30 under 30), Crain’s Chicago Business, Business Insider, Inc.com, Successful Farming and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing relationships from scratch with potential clients, business owners and C-level executives in Mexico, and signing them on as members.
  • Acquiring customers and generating revenue for our core product, Machinio.com.
  • Complying with KPIs and goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Collaborating and strategizing with the North American Business Development team to improve aspects applicable to your role, as well as to the overall growth of the company.

Requirements:

  • Comfort-level with establishing relationships from scratch
  • Ability to learn fast!
  • Confidence in carrying/maintaining/exceeding sales quotas.
  • Ability to negotiate exceptionally well.
  • Ability to serve as a consultant, with a problem-solving approach.

Work Life

  • PTO, and paid federal holidays.
  • Flexibility to work remote from anywhere.
  • Remote setup provided for all team members, along with modern work equipment.
  • Casual, collaborative, fast-paced work environment and a fun team (we’re cool).
  • Multiple in-person team events and really fun in-person holiday parties!
  • Employee milestone program

Compensation

  • Base salary + uncapped commission structure fully discussed on the 2nd step of the interview process.

Our Interview Process:

  • Step 1 - Phone Interview with the Senior Director of Operations to get to know you.
  • Step 2 - Google Meets video interview with one of our Team Leads, to discuss the role further and conduct an evaluation.
  • Step 3 - Final interview with Director of Sales, North America.

We're efficient decision-makers. Our interview process has a 2-week timeline and we do not waste time. We're not recruiters. We're real employees with long tenures and institutional knowledge, and we work with and manage doing the job/team for which you are interviewing. We take the time to interview because we want to be transparent, and we want to maintain the standard of our team (or raise the bar higher). Our people are our most important resource!
