Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and committed Principal Sales Executive with a proven track record in building and managing client relationships and business development within our European Equities business.

As a Sales Account Director you will be responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships with the UK and European Buyside community. You will be one of the primary interfaces for all Nasdaq Equity and Equity Derivatives products and be responsible for creating demand for them by raising their profile with this important segment at the senior management or executive level.
 

What will you be doing?

· Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with key decision makers and influencers at Investment managers, Hedge Funds, Private Wealth managers and Family offices.

· Responsible for Nasdaq’s short- and long-term Equity and Equity Derivatives sales strategy and interaction with these assigned clients.

· Create demand for new Equity and Equity derivative products by raising their profile with customers and generate new sales leads. These will include Custom Basket Forwards, Nordic@mid and Purestream.

· Achieve revenue and market share targets for Equity Derivatives and Equity markets by increasing trading activity per account.

· Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer’s senior management to understand their needs and link them to our product offerings.

· We would like you to:

· Demonstrate thought leadership in driving improvements to existing processes & practices. Serve as an equity and equity derivative specialist with considerable depth of knowledge. Resolve complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist. Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Leverage strategic priorities to determine how to achieve results. Network with key contacts outside own area; often influencing senior leadership.
 

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience working at a Bank, Broker, ELP, Exchange or Investment Manager.
  • Superior knowledge of Asset Management industry. Existing relationships with buy-side will be considered a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Economics, Finance, IT or Business.
  • Excellent client and service orientation.
  • Leadership as well as strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Take responsibility, be result oriented, bring problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Well-organized, accurate, proactive, conscientious and resilient.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within an international team.
  • Good regulatory background of Mifid II and other regulation related to equity derivatives (e.g. EMIR, UMR, etc)
  • Great understanding of the financial services industry and especially Equities and Equity Derivatives.
  • Command of MS Office applications and Salesforce.
