The Quality Auditor will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects and operational departments adhere to Parsons performance standards and requirements, while also driving innovation and leveraging advanced software and AI applications. This position involves planning and performing thorough quality assurance audits to verify that requirements are met, identifying areas for improvement, and working collaboratively with projects and various operations departments to implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and project management, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Importantly, the candidate must bring an understanding of project management, the constraints of project work, and business drivers, ensuring that audits are meaningful and actionable rather than just a checklist exercise.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of projects and processes using the Plan-Act-Check-Excel (PACE) approach to:
    • Ensure compliance with Parsons and other applicable requirements
    • Efficiency & Effectiveness
    • Performance excellence
  • Identify non-conformities, root causes, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations that align quality standards, project goals, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement corrections/corrective actions.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring they support overall project and operations success.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on their impact on project delivery and business operations.
  • Leverage AI applications and innovative technologies to enhance audit processes and quality assurance practices.
  • Provide training and support to staff on quality assurance processes and standards, emphasizing the importance of integrating quality with all aspects of our business.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to drive quality and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Required

  • 10+ years of related work experience in the field of quality assurance or related experience, including 3 years of experience as a quality auditor, task leader, or quality manager.
  • Lead Auditor training (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ Certification (i.e. CMQ/OE, CQA or CQE). 
  • Completion of Parsons Quality Auditor qualification within 3 months of hire.

Preferred:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Membership in a nationally-recognized Quality organization. 
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI, etc.) and regulatory requirements.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possesses working knowledge of more than one area of industry such as project management, infrastructure, government, aviation, process, or transportation.
  • Experience with AuditBoard, SharePoint, AI, and/or Jira are a plus.

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
