Job Summary

As a Subcontracts Administrator you will work with the Contracts and Subcontracts team and be directly responsible for the development and support of multiple U.S. Federal Government Subcontracts.

This position is Hybrid or REMOTE. If you are local you can expect to work out of our Houston HQ 1-2 days per week.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Qualify subcontractors.
  • Issue requests for information (RFIs).
  • Issue requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Prepare subcontract documents and amendments, including identification and inclusion of flow down requirements from the prime contract.
  • Perform commercial evaluations of proposals.
  • Negotiate subcontracts.
  • Issue properly authorized awards/subcontracts.
  • Resolve Subcontractor Claims in a timely manner.
  • Handle cradle to grave subcontract management (pre-award to file closeout).
  • Serve as liaison between subcontractor and project manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have extensive U.S. Federal Government contracts / subcontracts experience.
  • Must have excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be Customer Service oriented.
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop potential solutions.
  • Must be organized, meticulous and demonstrate strong time-management skills and be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires proficiency with MS office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR).
  • Experience with Deltek.
