Position Summary:

 

Reporting to the Business Solutions Finance manager, the Senior Functional Analyst role supports the global Accounting & Finance 

A senior level analyst will be expected to utilize their business experience and SAP FICO & associate applications expertise in performing the following key activities:

 

  • Consult on appropriate value-added technology solutions to meet business requirements with a bias toward extending SAP capabilities and utilizing existing applications.
  • Architect SAP solutions cross functionally to craft comprehensive and adaptable solutions aligning with overall business goals.
  • Proactively identify business process development & improvement opportunities
  • Work both autonomously and in collaborative groups, as required, throughout the entire development process from business requirements gathering through solution delivery.
  • Assist business process owners gather and document business requirements and subsequently create comprehensive functional & technical design specifications
  • Lead, guide & instruct other team members and users, providing solutions that fit the current needs of the company as well as the longer-term strategy.
     

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Perform configuration & administration, document solutions, unit test, and assist customers with integration and user acceptance testing in SAP & other finance related applications. The areas of focus will include but are not limited to:

 

 

    • Accounts Payable (AP) / VIM / OpenText
    • Receivables Management (AR) /iRec/ Credit / GetPaid
    • Treasury (TR), Banking, & Cash Management
  • Inbound & outbound interfaces
  • Cross system EDI/ALE transfers
  • Reporting, Compliance, & Audit
  • Concur Travel & Expense

 

 

  • Review and assess future release functionalities and emerging technology to identify enhanced functionality opportunities for the business.
  • Perform SAP & other non-SAP applications maintenance, troubleshooting & issue resolution for daily support activities.
  • Perform systems implementation and on-going operational activities in compliance with Quarterly Release Stage Gates, Monthly low-risk Release guidelines, SOx and internal controls.
  • Coordinate new development and modifications directly with 3rd party solutions providers
  • Provide support for other activities that impact the system including SAP or other finance related applications upgrades, application of support packs, and project work.
  • Provide ad hoc training and consulting to business users as required in run and maintain activities, including remedial SAP training, issue resolution, etc
     

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • This position requires a seasoned professional who possesses a bachelor's degree and     10-15+ years of technical/business/hands-on experience.
  • The individual must be able to work both autonomously and in collaborative teams from business requirements gathering through solution delivery.
  • 5+ years of SAP and/or related applications functional experience required, primarily focused on Banking/Treasury, Credit & Collections, and/or Accounts Payable.
  • M&A integration experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
