About The Client

The Client is an ecommerce retailer founded in 2013 selling 500 sun protection products across 30 brands, mainly to a UK customer base. They have a £350k+ annual revenue plus a small team based in Worthing, UK currently alongside two purpose-driven founders with 20+ years of experience running retail businesses.

Their vision is to become the UK ecommerce authority on sun protection and skincare and enhance product transparency and customer decision making in this sector. They believe this will reduce customer stress, enable more confidence and enjoyment in the sun, as well as enhance customer life expectancy by mitigating the dangers of the sun.


Position Overview

We are seeking a data-driven Ecommerce Performance Executive to oversee and optimize the analytical and performance aspects of our sun and skin care focused eCommerce site. This role will be responsible for driving the site’s performance, handling promotions, managing CRM and customer attribution, as well as monitoring site KPIs. The ideal candidate is results-oriented with a strong analytical background, capable of using insights to drive eCommerce growth and elevate customer experiences through data-backed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Site Trading: Drive online sales by analysing eCommerce trading performance and identifying growth opportunities.

  • Promotions Management: Oversee and optimise promotional strategies to ensure we are efficient with our stock and margin to maximise gross profit.

  • Performance Marketing: Manage and optimise paid channels, ensuring campaigns meet sales and acquisition goals.

  • KPI Monitoring: Track and report on key site metrics to monitor and improve site performance.

  • A/B Testing & Site Optimisation: Conduct A/B tests to enhance conversion rates, SEO and user experience.

  • Customer Attribution: Analyse customer journey and attribution data to refine targeting and engagement.

  • CRM Oversight: Manage CRM systems to enhance customer retention and drive lifetime value.

  • Website Build: Manage the selected development agency to oversee the Shopify brand refresh, ensuring the project hits the desired outcomes, time and budget.

  • App and Integration Management: Ensuring an efficient ecosystem of apps and integrations are managed correctly to enhance the customer experience.

  • Oversee Analytics: Track and analyse performance metrics to guide data-driven decisions.

  • Reporting Creation: Provide detailed performance reports to, including key metrics and sales trends to measure performance and highlight recommendations for improvement.

  • Budget Control: Plan, manage, and optimise the eCommerce budget to maximise ROI.

  • Customer Insights: Gather and analyse customer feedback to inform product assortment and content strategy.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams, including the web agency, the ecommerce content executive and the UK leadership team, to ensure cohesive ecommerce strategies and execution.
