Description

Position Summary:

Develop and execute supply & demand strategies and processes to ensure specific accounts or vendors are handled in time, efficient, and cost-effective by managing purchasing procedures, inventory flow, developing forecast models with the purpose to meet sales, inventory, margin, fill rate, and overall growth of the category and vendors assigned. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Regularly review and manage the inventory levels and product availability of the assigned vendors meeting the processes, guidelines and financial policies to meet operational and sales goals. 
  • Evaluate adhoc analysis on inventory/stock and monitoring assigned vendors performance of products and brands ensuring expected growth by category and products. 
  • Proactively seek opportunities for commercial or marketing initiatives as result of vendor negotiations or market trends. 
  • Generate reports of the vendors performance and action plans on targets with improvement opportunities. 
  • Monitor performance of products and propose items or SKUS to be discontinued with the purpose of maintaining an optimized portfolio of the assigned vendors. 
  • Be the main contact with the designated vendors to ensure forecast and company expectation on supply are met. 
  • Identify and create contingency plans on out-of-stock risks that impact sales goals. 
  • Responsible for advising on the adjustment of the supply or replenishment plan by defining priorities and necessary actions, both in case of shortage and over stocks of the assigned vendors. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators of the assigned vendors: Inventory turnover, Total inventory, margin, fill rate, short date/expiration in warehouse. 
  • Maintain the level of stock coverage to meet sales forecast 
  • Provide inputs that will help to generate S&OP process 
  • Propose and work closely with Supply lead with proposals, budget and plans to improve overall performance of the department. 
  • Work closely with project and product development to keep track of product innovations and launch that impact positively the sales goals of the company. 
  • Provide proper documentation to related departments such as finance, inbound, operations, etc. 
  • Maintain proper documentation of each transaction. 
  • Document, follow-up and solve potential claims submitted by any department related to vendors assigned. 
  • Provide visibility on overall health and performance of the assigned vendors. 
  • Process purchase orders and update the system to reflect accurate information. 
  • Provide sufficient information to other departments that will positively impact the result of the company such as transits, claim status, etc. 
  • Use data and market insight to generate accurate forecast to maintain ideal inventory stock according to financial and the department policies. 
  • Ensure proper costs, margins, inventory accuracy of the vendors assigned. 
  • Regularly check sales and financial performance of assigned products and vendors. 
  • Steel toe or composite closed-toe shoes (protective safety footwear) are required in select business units.  
  • Must be able to meet predictable attendance and punctuality expectations and physical demands of the position complying with Ethnix Group’s policies and performance expectations.

Organizational Responsibilities:

Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s). 

Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, warehouse, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s). 

Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve the site's efficiency, profitability, and productivity. 

Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, logistics tools, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training programs and by accessing other sources of information and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility. 

Work Hours (may vary by state or location):

This position is scheduled for 44 hours in a regular work week. Additional support within non-regular hours may be required and should be discussed with the supervisor. No additional compensation for overtime is offered for this position. 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Experience: Previous job experience in data analysis, supply planner, supply chain, procurement, demand planner, or equivalent. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Data Science, Marketing, Administration, Industrial engineer, or equivalent is required. 

Language Ability:

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete documents, and answer questions in English and Spanish. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as needed. 

Math Ability:

Demonstrated intermediate/advanced mathematical skills such as, trends, logical operations, deviations, averages, etc. 

Reasoning Ability:

Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

Computer Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency in office suite including but not limited to word, excel, PowerPoint, access, outlook, teams, etc. 

 Advanced spreadsheet management programs to complete required reports and employment documents.  

Intermediate level in Power BI and SAP 

Proficiency and fluency in using and navigating the internet and websites. 

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Power BI training or certification 

  • TOEFL – English certificate or equivalent 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.  

Work Environment:

This position will be performed under the remote work mode. The company will provide the equipment and resources to perform the duties. Employees must be responsible for accommodating the proper workspace and connection (internet) resources to fulfill duties.
