Job Summary


Responsible for developing practical and creative solutions that solve business problems or requirements that span the meter to cash landscape for clients. Must be able to facilitate workshops with multiple levels of client management and subject matter experts to deliver a clear specification of the customer’s business requirements and a business justified solution. Create and communicate implementable and cost-effective designs to client personnel and executives while relaying value added benefits and associated Return on Investment (ROI). Capable of providing leadership, guidance, and recommendations that help clients solve both short term and longer-term business needs. 


Solution and Business Domain Duties

  • Leverage knowledge of industry practices, technology, and business domain expertise to create solutions within the meter-to-cash landscape.
  • Analyze software requirements to define solution parameters and specifications that meet client needs and align with best practices.
  • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle to oversee and guide solution implementations effectively.
  • Evaluate the business and technical impacts of proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with both client goals and Origin’s standards.
  • Coordinate fact-finding, analysis, and development activities related to solution delivery, ensuring a cohesive approach across projects.


Customer Focus

  • Facilitate workshops with client management and subject matter experts to accurately capture business requirements and deliver business-justified solutions.
  • Plan and lead design workshops to propose, refine, and influence key stakeholders on optimal design solutions.
  • Maintain client expectations by delivering solutions within agreed-upon budget and time constraints, ensuring long-term satisfaction.
  • Communicate implementable, cost-effective designs that demonstrate added value and provide a clear return on investment (ROI) for clients.


Sales and Business Development


Identify and address specific client challenges within the scope of current projects, suggesting potential service enhancements that support immediate client objectives.


Financial Accountability


Communicate the financial impact and value of proposed solutions to clients, ensuring alignment with their budgetary constraints and goals.


Mentoring Responsibilities


Provide support and share knowledge with peers and junior staff as needed, contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  

Skill Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot/triage activity routing and optimization issues.
  • Experience with end-point system configuration for integration with CIS, Asset Management, Line Locate, or other third-party systems via Middleware or point to point platforms.
  • Good understanding of  application configuration specializing in service management, resource management, and scheduling/routing.
  • Business understanding of the value, benefits, and functional capabilities of Field Work solutions as part of overall Meter-to-Cash business processes. 
  • Experience working with Meter-to-Cash business processes as well as projects involving integration of Field Service applications with other utility enterprise applications and customer-facing initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently in a client environment.  
  • Understanding of design and development principles. 


Experience Requirements

  • At least 4 years of implementation, support, or end user experience with Field Service application(s) (IFS, Click Field Service Edge, KloudGin, etc.), including upgrades and production support. 
  • Solution design experience for Field Service, CIS applications, and mobile apps.
  • Experience implementing Field Service interfaces.
  • Experience working with or as a part of Service Delivery teams including incident management and service requests.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions for handoff to the dev team.
  • Asset Management and Line Locate experience is a plus.


Education Requirements

  • Four-year college or university degree   
  • 4 years related experience and/or training; or  
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience 


Other Requirements


Must be available for at least 25% travel.
