Are you an Insurance Underwriter looking to supercharge your skills and take your career to the next level? We've got just the thing for you! Our client is on the hunt for a talented Technical Underwriter (aka Inherent Defects Underwriter) to join their team a brand new team. As a key player in this role, you'll be responsible for technical underwriting, policy wordings, and contractual documentation - the perfect opportunity to expand your expertise and make a real impact.

Responsibilities:
* Drive improvements in quality and current practices
* Ensure all legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met
* Deliver top-notch internal technical underwriting services by evaluating and analysing applications to determine risk levels and cover limits
* Use data analytics to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in underwriting processes and pricing
* Collaborate with the claims department to review and analyse claims data, identifying potential areas of underwriting improvement
* Participate in internal and external audits to ensure underwriting practices comply with company standards and regulatory requirements
* Contribute towards loss ratio control by effectively adhering to the company's plans
* Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Head of Technical Underwriting

What You'll Need:
* Self-motivated with a pro-active approach
* Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Analytical skills
* Good underwriting knowledge and experience
