Job description

Let’s talk about who we are

The nib Group has a mission and vision of people enjoying better health. Through our success, we aspire to more prosperous and sustainable communities, not only the creation of enterprise value. nib is a trusted health partner, helping members and travellers make more informed healthcare decisions, transact with healthcare systems and generally live healthier lives.

We're looking for people who share this passion and want to be a part of a team that has the appetite and ambition to be extraordinary. Extraordinary comes in different perspectives and experiences. We're committed to an environment where everyone has the autonomy and freedom to be their authentic selves, every day.

Let’s talk about diversity, equity and inclusion

We embrace a flexible working environment and welcome candidates that reflect the diversity of the communities in which we operate. We actively encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people living with disability, LGBTQIA+ as well as culturally diverse community members to apply for open roles.

nib Group is committed to creating an accessible recruitment process and employment experience. If you identify as a person living with disability and require adjustments to our online application, recruitment, selection and/or assessment process, or would like this advertisement in an alternative format, please contact us at nibemployment @nib.com.au.

Let's talk about this role

Let go of the stereotype that comes when you hear the word call centre.

This role sits within our Member Engagement and Retention team working across our Reactive and Proactive Retention and Health Management Programs.

This position will see you play an important role within the business with the goal to drive long term member retention and loyalty!

You will have meaningful conversations with our members and be there to help “save the day” and our members!

We have a great bonus structure that can see your earning potential grow through your commitment to achieving your goals.

We will give you the tools to have the conversations, you just need to bring the passion, tenacity, and grit to apply your learnings to each and every conversation.

This role will see you:

·       Conduct inbound and outbound calls to our existing member base

·       Promote nib’s private health insurance products, services and benefits

·       Ensure customers are fully informed about their product(s) in particular, inclusions, exclusions, and waiting periods

·       Have fun amongst your team (we like to keep things engaging here at nib)

Let's talk about you

We're seeking a motivated individual with a positive, “can-do” attitude to join our team! If you're someone who thrives on achieving goals and connecting with customers from all walks of life, you’ll be set up for success here.

What we are looking for:

  • Prior experience in Contact Centres, Retention, or Sales

  • The ability to speak confidently to a diverse customer base

  • An eye for detail and a readiness to challenge the status quo

No Health Insurance experience? No problem! Full training provided.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • Enjoy a flexible start, with shifts between 9:00am-12:30pm and finishing between 5:06pm-8:36pm, Monday to Friday (shift loading applies after 6pm).

  • Training kicks off January 6, 2025, with a two-week immersive program (9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday).

  • A minimum of one day a week in-office is required, giving you a balance of remote and in-office flexibility.

If you’re ready to take on this exciting challenge and be part of a vibrant team, we’d love to hear from you!

Let’s talk about working at nib

We make a commitment to come together with purpose and are excited to share moments that matter with one another. Our Hubs are purpose built to support focused work, connection, and collaboration with peers. We provide a new starter benefit as well as ongoing financial support to set up and maintain a functioning home workspace. At nib, we’re committed to creating a flexible working environment where you’re free to be you.

Other benefits to support you at work (and play) include:
