Job Overview

As a Legal Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for producing accurate verbatim transcripts from audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of legal terminology, and exceptional grammar skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings to create accurate and detailed transcripts.
• Adhere to style guides and specific client requirements to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Maintain a focused and accurate approach while processing potentially sensitive audio/text content.
• Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team, reaching out for assistance as needed.

• Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to discern details accurately.
• Strong adherence to deadlines and style guide specifications.
• Exceptional literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
• Proficient typing skills, demonstrating both speed and accuracy.
• Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
• Ability to process audio/text content that may contain challenging material.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
