The Responsibilities

This role involves leading the work on a range of transfer pricing advisory and compliance projects for FS clients. You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading and managing various projects, ensuring the coordination and effective collaboration with other departments across the UK firm as well as our overseas offices. You will also take an active part in business development activities in support of our ambitious growth targets. Our areas of focus to continue to grow our business include challenging and interesting transfer pricing issues such as addressing operating model change in transfer pricing models, technology enablement and operational transfer pricing, dispute resolution and effective global documentation.

The work involves:

  • Providing technical transfer pricing advice to our FS clients on a broad range of topics
  • Managing various projects across multiple jurisdictions and leading the day-to-day delivery processes, including leading the project teams
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and other relevant stakeholders
  • Actively developing and maintaining the client relationships
  • Financial management, including developing and managing project budgets and billing to ensure profitable delivery of engagements
  • Coaching and developing junior team members, which will also include delivering training sessions and providing on-the-job coaching on regular basis
  • Ensuring timely reporting to senior management
  • Actively identifying new opportunities and managing business development and marketing initiatives along with proposition and market leads
  • Participating in team-related or firm-wide activities as appropriate to preserve and enforce our KPMG values


The Person

We are looking for candidates with the following skills/experience:

  • Strong relevant transfer pricing experience, preferably including project management and managing junior team members
  • Experience of the Financial Services industry
  • Highly organised with excellent project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and to take initiatives as appropriate
  • Very strong people skills for engaging positively with clients and team members
  • Sound judgement, including the ability to identify and evaluate risk issues and know when to involve others
  • Strong analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • High level of drive and enthusiasm with a positive attitude
  • Keen ability and willingness to keep up to date technically
  • An appreciation of and/or understanding of ethical/risk issues within a client service environment
  • CTA, CA, ACA, ACCA, Masters in Economics or equivalently qualified
