Overview of Role:

We are seeking a proactive Associate Product Manager to support the development of Pens.com’s digital business. You’ll assist in aligning product goals with business objectives, conduct market research, manage product documentation, and help prioritize features. With a focus on collaboration and customer insights, you’ll contribute to delivering impactful product updates and enhancing the customer experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning, execution, and management of the full product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer pain points.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including UX, Technology, Marketing, and Analytics to ensure effective product development and delivery.

Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to identify product needs and opportunities.

Help define and prioritize features and requirements, balancing business goals with user experience.

Monitor product performance metrics, analyze data, and create reports to track progress against key objectives and identify areas for improvement.

Assist in the development of product strategies by contributing market insights, competitor analysis, and user feedback.

Maintain the backlog, ensuring that tasks are prioritized based on value, urgency, and feasibility.

Provide proactive updates to stakeholders on product progress, upcoming needs, and roadblocks.

Ensure that all product specifications, requirements, and updates are well-documented, creating a reliable resource for internal teams and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Aid in the coordination of feature launches, including cross-departmental alignment, marketing efforts, and post-launch analysis.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

At least 3 years previous engineering or design experience on a consumer-facing web product

Strong technical and analytical background with outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills

Comfort with working through ambiguity to formulate the right project at the right time

Ability to hold teams accountable for deliverables and leverage individual contributor strengths

Expertise in managing remote teams and coordinating across multiple time zones

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while keeping track of multiple projects with minimal supervision

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cognitive science, marketing or equivalent experience

This is a US Remote position. The California base annual salary/hourly range for this role is currently $65-85k. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
