Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, the Component Technician will prepare components from multiple collection bags in accordance with all SOP’s  and work instructions. In addition, you will ensure quality of product in accordance with all NYBC’s Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions and regulatory standards, as well as following and practicing cGMP in all work.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting in the production of component products.
  • Preparing documents and keeping logs associated with receiving, processing and labeling.
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe and adequate work environment.
  • Maintaining storage areas of carious blood products.
  • Shipping and packaging designated products for research and discards.
  • Maintaining proper inventory levels of equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:

To qualify, you must have a highschool diploma or GED (some college science courses preferred), along with experience in a continuous processing environment. Candidate must be able to work in a freezer room as well as lift up to 50lbs. Cimputer skills preffered.

 

All salaries are pursuant to Local 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Rate: $22.3061 Per Hour
