Job description

Tomorrow.io's Government Business Development Team makes it possible for National Hydrometeorological Services, state and municipal agencies, civil aviation, defense organizations, and others to operate and manage risk faster than the speed of weather. 

We’re looking for a Director of Government Sales covering Latin America to lead prospective and existing customers through a journey to improve their service provision and raise their profile by using Tomorrow.io, and to help build the biggest weather company in the world. 

While this role is fully remote, we’re seeking to hire for this role in Miami, Chile, Ecuador or Brazil. 

As a Director of Government Sales at Tomorrow.io, you’ll identify, engage and close new customers while working to retain and grow existing accounts. You will also work closely with our product, marketing, and program management teams to provide feedback to help drive strategy. 

What you’ll do:

  • Travel required 25% of the time
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle for all current and future Government customers in LATAM
  • Channel Partner management 
  • Establish and foster relationships with governments in the LATAM region 
  • Capture management, including RFPs and Tenders 
  • Attend multiple in-person events, conferences, etc.

What you bring:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years in Government Sales Experience (selling to senior executives and technical end-users, hands-on experience with public tenders and contracting)
  • Experience working in industries such as SaaS, IT/ICT, agromet, hydromet, aerospace, and/or climate science 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Energy: Self-motivated and competitive, can-do attitude
  • A clear record of quota achievement and metrics-driven approach to prospecting and managing pipeline through to a successful close
