Vice President, Engineering – Travel Commerce (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our dynamic engineering team. which develops our Travel Commerce platform. This is a platform that ingests, normalizes, and enriches content from GDSs, aggregators, and providers directly and allows agents and travelers to book hotel, air, car, and rail through modern UX, allowing for client policies, forms of payment, and an intelligence layer built to optimize the booking experience. The engineering teams are composed of talented professionals (FE & BE engineers, Dev Ops, QA, Support) working primarily remotely, which we expect to continue growing in the coming years. As the VP of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technical strategy, overseeing the architecture, ensuring robust security standards, maintaining system reliability, and scaling our infrastructure to meet performance demands. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions that align with our business objectives.

As a Vice President, Engineering – Travel Commerce, you will

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to the engineering team
• Develop and implement the technical strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives
• Establish and maintain security standards to protect company data and infrastructure
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the company's systems and infrastructure
• Collaborate with other departments, including Product, Sales, and Marketing, to align engineering efforts with business needs
  
  

About You

• Extensive technology leadership experience
• Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably as a VP of Engineering or similar
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and grow large engineering teams
• Experience with ecommerce platforms
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architecture, and security standards
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, microservices, and scalable system design
• Excellent English language skills

At BCD Travel we value you, our culture and success is defined by you. We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Vice President, Engineering – Travel Commerce is between $230,000 and $260,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
