ABOUT THE POSITION Our Sales Engineering team is looking for a new Sales Engineer to grow the team and support our Media sales in the Americas.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be a key member of the Sales team for our Media products. You will work closely with both the Account Manager and directly with the customers. Your focus is to build a strong, trust-based technical customer relationship and provide technical design support and guidance to our customers in the Americas. You will be a trusted technical advisor and provide an architectural perspective across Net Insights product portfolio and leverage your expertise for specific opportunities.
Your key responsibilities in this area will be:
• Be the solution expert for Net Insight solutions and services • Present, demonstrate, and evangelize Net Insight solutions and services • Participate in tradeshows, technical forums, and standards bodies • Deploy and troubleshoot media networks across private and public infrastructure • Support the sales team in engaging customers on technical requirements and workflows • Gather and analyze customer requirements. • Analyze current customer technical model and requirements for future growth. • Understand the customer’s “pain points” and identify areas for growth and optimization. • Provide comprehensive designs and documentation for external and internal review • Advocate internally for new features/capabilities with clear documentation • Design scalable solutions to meet anticipated business needs. • Establishing personal credibility with the customer by providing appropriate guidance on technical, operational, and commercial aspects in discussions.

Qualifications: • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or equivalent • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the media industry preferred • Extensive knowledge and experience of production and broadcast media including orchestration, adaptation and processing, encoding, and transmission technologies • Knowledge and experience of IP and Ethernet networking, routing, and switching • Knowledge and experience of Kubernetes and Docker deployments • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with public cloud computing environments, including at least one of AWS, GCS, Oracle Cloud, or Azure • Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as demonstrated presentation skills.
