Description

Georgia Military College's Global Online Leadership College is now hiring adjunct professors in the following discipline:  Astronomy/Physics.

Applicants with the flexibility to teach both day and evening classes are preferred; however, applications will be considered for those with more limited availability. Contracts are for 8 weeks; renewable upon availability of classes and satisfactory job performance.

The application review process will commence immediately and will continue until the necessary positions have been filled.

 

Applicants must provide a current resume or CV, three professional references, and a copy of complete unofficial transcripts. These documents must be uploaded directly to each application. If hired, official transcripts will be required.

Qualifications

For most teaching disciplines, applicants must hold a Master’s degree or higher in the discipline advertised, or a Master’s degree or higher in any discipline plus 18 graduate semester hours or 30 graduate quarter hours in the discipline advertised. Limited teaching opportunities exist for applicants with a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree or higher in any discipline and relevant work or professional experience. See GMC’s Certification Types below for further details. Teaching experience is highly preferred, particularly in a remote or virtual learning environment.

 

AD-Certification Type-Advanced Degree in Qualifying Field

Master’s Level or Higher Degree in a Qualifying Field as listed in the Faculty Certification Guidelines (or approved by Program Dean)

AD+CH/5-Certification Type – Advanced Degree Not in Qualifying Field

Master’s Level or Higher Degree not in Qualifying Field but has 18sh (or equivalent) and/or 5 years of Relevant Work Experience in the Qualifying Field.

BD+7-Certification Type – Bachelor’s Degree + 7 Years of Relevant Work Experience

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in the Qualifying Field and has 7 years of relevant work experience in the Qualifying Field.

BD+7-Certification Type – LSS ONLY

For LSS courses (000 Level), Faculty have to have a Bachelor’s degree in the qualifying field. (work experience is not required)
