Based on our continued growth, InductiveHealth is expanding our Technology business unit with a Systems Administrator who will play a key role in managing all aspects of systems administration, including design, implementation, and testing. As a Systems Administrator, you'll work collaboratively with engineering and business teams, supporting client implementations, incident response, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability of our systems.
What you'll be doing:Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based systems. Provide technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for other business units. Support the development of InductiveHealth’s product offerings. Define and execute application deployment and management strategy and standards. Participate in client implementations, ensuring architectural designs are incorporated. Participate in operating system and application patching and upgrades. Establish monitoring requirements for servers and applications, deploying alerting strategies. Assist in evaluating and adopting emerging technologies, considering factors like security, compatibility, and usability. Collaborate with project teams when executing various internal or client projects. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate communication and collaboration of IT initiatives. Design and deploy best practices for system monitoring, change control, and infrastructure policies. Develop and maintain documentation for supported applications and processes. Serve in an on-call capacity on a rotation. Other duties as assigned. What are we looking for?Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, technical discipline, or equivalent experience. 3+ years experience in designing, implementing, and managing SaaS solutions in a product-focused technology company. Experience implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting various Java application platforms (Tomcat, WildFly, JBoss, etc.,).Experience working/managing public health systems, such as Maven, NBS, ESSENCE, Epitrax or other CDC integrated systems.Comfortable working in SQL databases & creating custom stored procedures and views.Working knowledge of AWS, PowerShell, Linux CLI, and IaaS. Proficiency in internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP, and SSH. Hands-on experience in Windows Server, Linux and Virtualization. Understanding of IP networks, network components, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of system, application, and network security. Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Proven experience in a production internet-facing environment. Be willing to serve on-call after hours on a rotation.
